The Jones Engineering Capper has been designed over a number of years to remove the crowns from carrots that are going for processing. The front roller pushes the carrots down to the same level and consolidates the bed. Two banks of four free spinning self sharpening discs then remove the crowns and deposits them in the wheelings, this is followed by a set of depth wheels that maintain the cutting height.

Parsnip Topper

The Jones Engineering Parsnip Topper is a variation of the Capper above however does not put any weight on the bed or parsnips. In work the discs cut the remaining top and moves the soil into the wheeling, height control is automatic or manually controlled from the cab.

An optional defoliator can be fitted to the front of this machine when it is front mounted.
